- Cartoon overhead: “Vater, Mutter, Kinn“
 - Repeat family vocab on bottom of page 46 (including some plural forms)
- Time permitting, ask some questions like those in Aktivität 9
 - Missing from Vorsprung vocab: “Stief-” = “step-“; “Halb-” = “half-“
 
 - Instructor shows an imaginary family tree. Students answer questions and form sentences about it in pairs
 - Overhead: haben und ein
- Instructor gives examples like:
- Ich habe einen/zwei/drei/…/keine Bruder/Brüder
 - Ich habe eine/zwei/drei/…/keine Nichte(n)
 - Ich möchte ein/zwei/drei/…/keine Kind(er)
 - Meine Mutter heißt __________
 
 - Students tell their partners what family members they have or would like to have
 
 - Instructor gives examples like:
 - “Geldprobleme” cartoon ( p. 49); then do Aktivität 11 (Partner*innen)
 - Overhead: Familien Interview
 - Vocab worksheet that was due today (groups of 6):
- Students share what they wrote for Section A
 - Students ask their “Was passt nicht” questions from Section C
