The LSA Major/Minor Expo is happening today from 11-3 p.m. in the Michigan Union. You can learn about the dozens of majors and minors that are available (including German).
Here is the list of German dept. classes offered in Spring, Summer, and Fall 2025. Please note that even if you already know your plans for German language classes, the list also includes a wide variety of interesting courses in English. If you have questions please contact our advisors, Mary and Kalli. We also strongly encourage you to contact one of the German Peer Mentors, who are undergraduates and who have taken/are taking our German courses. One of our alums is working for UniCredit in New York. They are offering paid summer internships between May 19 and August 8. If interested, please apply by Monday, March 24.
The Marsal School of Education will host an information session about teacher certification options in world languages on Thursday, March 13, 4-5 p.m., SEB 1322. Participants in the program will be eligible for additional financial aid and excellent job prospects.
All students who will take language courses at a Goethe Institut this spring or summer are invited to attend a mass meeting on Sunday, March 16, 4:30 p.m., Mason Hall 1427. The application deadline to receive funding from the German Department will be Tuesday, April 1.
